We created a postgres database and installed JIRA and connected to the database. We also then imported the backup from our ondemand installation. After the import is completed, we cannot login using our ondemand JIRA ids. and sysadmin / sysdamin does not work either. Do we need to do something else to make our earlier JIRA ondemand logins to work ?
this was the solution for us -
Curently, there is a known limitation preventing you from importing data from an OnDemand instance into JIRA 6.2.1. If you need to import data into JIRA 6.2.1, please use the following workaround:
1.First import your OnDemand backup into JIRA 6.2.
2.Then upgrade JIRA to 6.2.1 following the upgrade instructions here: Upgrading JIRA.
JIRA will upgrade the database and you will be able to access your imported OnDemand data.

We have the issue resolved - but used a different method. We just redid the whole import thing from scratch and this time it seems to have worked. thank you for your help though
