Unable to access attachments after upgrade from 4.3 to 6.1

I recently upgraded our Jira installation from version 4.3 to 6.1. But after the upgrade, we are unable to access the previous attachements. I've copied over the data/attachments folder from the backup made prior to upgrade but it has ot helped.

How can I recover all the attachments?

My original jira install was on /opt/jira.

The data folder was under /opt/jira/data/attachments.

Jira runs as root and all the folders are 755 for root.

I used the 6.15 installer that has the upgrade option. After the upgrade there was nothing under the data/attachments folder. So I copied over the contents of that folder from the backup. some attachments were accessible after that but a lot of them are not.

What method/steps did you use for upgrade?

what 'data' folder exactly did you move? what's the path? You should ensure your new JIRA installation's home directory is pointing to a copy of the original home directory.

Can you ensure that the JIRA user has recursive read and write permissions to your entire <JIRA-home-directory>
