Track how long tickets are spending in each status of the workflow during a sprint

Hello,

Is there a report which tracks how long tickets are spending in each state? For example i'd like to see how long a ticket spends in dev and then how long it spends in QA during the sprint?

Thank you!

Hi @marie_mitchell

You could look into the Marketplace App, Time in Status for Jira Cloud.

Do you know if you are using Cloud or Server for Jira?

Let me know anyway,

Danny

Thanks @Danny ! Yes i've seen this but was hoping to find a free way to do this :)

Hi @marie_mitchell

Unfortunately I have been unable to find a method that is free. Sorry about that.

I have found some apps that do this though they are paid;

Time in Status by OBSS

Zoryana has covered SaaSJet's app as well.

Both are the same price and star rating though OBSS's app has more reviews.

There is a Jira Server app (if you have server rather than cloud), which is free known as Time in Status Field I assume though you are using Jira Cloud.

Apologies I could not be any further help in this matter.

Happy New Year,

Danny

Hi @Danny ,

No problem, really appreciate your help on this!

Happy New Year to you too!

Thank you,

Marie

@Danny I'm sorry, but there is no built-in solution in the Jira Cloud now.

Alternatively, you can try the free trial version of the other application Time in Status for Jira Cloud by SaaSJet. It calculates status duration in the numeric table form and a graph view.
You can also try the application Time Between Statuses and set the start/stop/pause timer preferences and highlight overdue issues by setting time limits.

Hope it helps,

Regard

You can use Status Time add-on. It generates status time report based on your working calendar.

If you are looking for a free add-on, you can try the free version, Status Time Free.

Hi @Bloompeak_Support

Thanks for contributing an answer to this thread.  However I ask that you please review our Atlassian Community guidelines for Marketplace vendors.  We have a policy of No necroposting:

No necroposting: Aka, no "raising threads from the dead." In general, avoid posting on old threads (six months or more old) simply to promote your products.

Many of the threads you have posted to recently are far older than 6 months. This particular one is less than 6 months old, so we can leave this response here, but the others have been removed already under our guidelines.

We would prefer you not use community solely as a means to promote your solution.

Thanks

Andy

Hi @Andy_Heinzer ,

Thanks for letting us know. We used the threads to inform about our product because it was launched recently. It wasn't on the marketplace 2 months ago.

We also see other vendors replied to the same threads even after 6 months and we are ok with it, nothing is unfair here. Because if a vendor launches new app which directly addresses the problem, we believe that it is a new/different answer to the question. Anyway, the guideline says "do not post to old threads", then we will not even if we do not agree.
