Top of Backlog / Bottom of Backlog stopped working? (Bug reported via Support)

Arthur Zonnenberg October 25, 2019

When viewing the Backlog via this URL:

https://paazl1.atlassian.net/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=85&projectKey=CAR&view=planning

I am on longer able to use Top of Backlog / Bottom of Backlog. When trying to use these commands via right-mouse click menu, nothing happens. No error response is generated either.

I am the project admin. I have full permissions, including Edit Schedule and Edit Issue. There are no other issues in the project I do not have full permissions over. Ranking is enabled in both project and board, and order by RANK is the default in filters.

Since the new JIRA issue view somehow removed this very useful functionality, I cannot rank issues at all anymore except by dragging. On our board (KANBAN, but not relevant) Top of Column and Bottom of Column still works.

-Please help?- Found the problem!

One of the issues on the board had created a subtask issue that was in the top of the backlog, *blocking ranking of any other issues on the backlog* due to parent constraint?
