This archive doesn't contains any valid attachments

Максим Григорьев April 10, 2015

Hi.

I've been trying to import our standalone JIRA project into cloud JIRA, but always getting this error:

'This archive doesn't contains any valid attachments'

I've tried various methods of archiving attachments with no success.

For example, I have Attachments folder with a single project folder inside it.

I've tried to set Attacments as top level folder in archive,

Project folder as top level folder in archive,

Put Attachments folder inside Data folder and set it to top level.

I've tried to use both tar.gz, .tar, and zip archives.

Nothing works.

If I don't include attachments archive into import, just xml backup, there is no error.

What's wrong with it?  What should I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Use the approach outlined here:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CLOUDKB/Restoring+a+JIRA+Cloud+Backup+into+a+JIRA+Cloud+instance

It works your scenario as well (Server to cloud).

Hi there,

Try creating a different .zip file for attachments only. You backup.zip file has to contain an "attachment" folder within it.

Attachments.zip

      |__ attachments/

Then, during the import, select this folder for the attachments.
