The /webdav/backupmanager URL no longer stores new JIRA backups

Hendrik Bonthuys May 3, 2017

Hi folks,

I've noticed that the https://${INSTANCE}/webdav/backupmanager/ URL no longer stores new backups made by the backup manager. This used to work fine till end of 2016.

I have a script that creates a backup and then downlaods the ZIP file straight onto a Linux backup server every week.

Normally I just do a "wget" command with username and password to download for example the latest backup: https://${INSTANCE}/webdav/backupmanager/JIRA-backup-${TODAY}.zip

If anyone is using scripts to backup JIRA, and have encountered this issue, can you please let me know if you managed to find a work around? I already asked Atlassian support about this and they told me that the webdav/backupmanager/ is no longer supported, but they couldn't recommend a new way to get the backups now except for taking it manually.

Thanks!

Hendrik
