A filter is created by one user and it is shared to everyone. The filter is not listed inthe list of Popular Filters for other users. So that other users can make the shared filter as favorite. However when searched the filter is visible. The question is why is the shared filter not visible in the popular filters.

A shared filter does not automatically become popular. Only if someone marks it as favorite, it becomes popular. Isn't that the meaning of 'popular' ;)

Renjith ,Thanks for the quick response!

That means a shared filter has to be first searched and then made as favorite to make it popular. once popular other users can see it in the popular list.

So the user who searches the fiter has to know the filter name atleast.

Yes, or at least the author who created it to get a smaller set of shared filters.
