Temporarily ban an user in JIRA/Confluence

JM May 5, 2017

Hello !

I am looking for a way to ban temporarily an user in JIRA or Confluence. We want to avoid the flood, so we need something like the rate limiting that HipChat already implements.

There is any add-on or extension that can help?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Jose

Disable their account, and then re-enable it when you're ready?

Exactly, refer this in case you are in doubt.

This should work if you are using internal directory, but in my case, I am using Active Directory and remove the membership to the access group in Active Directory is not a posibility.
