System Field (Description) appears then disappears

I am working on an issue with a specific project where when I attempt to create an issue, the description field will appear for a moment and then disappear before any content can be entered.

The field exists in the Create Issue screen for the project and according to the "where is my field" helper, the description field should be available. But obviously isn't.

Please let me know if anyone has thoughts on where it might be and why it disappears.

This suggests some injected javascript - the screen is rendering, but then the javascript is later removing the description field.

Do you have Scriptrunner (with Behaviours) installed?  Or any custom javascript in the announcement banner or field descriptions?

Thanks for the response Nic. I've seen your responses on many issues I've looked for answers on here so I know I'm in good hands.

I did check and yes it appears we have Scriptrunner with Behaviors installed. I just found a behavior configured for the project in question and there was an option to not have the Description field shown. I have disabled that and now the Description field is shown.
