Sync status from different issues from different projects

Is it possible to sync two different issues from two different projects?

Scenario:

  1. The status from Issue_1 from Project_1 changed from "To do" to "In Progress".
  2. Issue_2 from Project_2 needs to follow the same behaviour automatically.

 

I've tried using "Status-Sync for Jira" but no success so far.

Hello, 

You could do it with Automation for Jira add-on but you need the payed version

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.codebarrel.addons.automation/cloud/overview

The good thing about the add-on is that you do not need to do any coding.
