Suppress Jira Dahsboard Favorites Panel

Our users have expressed a concern over the "lost real estate" when the JIRA dashboard favorites display on the left hand side of any JIRA dashboard. One solution is to have no favorites, but that is less than ideal. User feel they can easily access any dashboard they want from the dashboard drop down on the top of the screen. Is there any method to suppress these favorite dashboards from appearing on the left hand side of the screen?

Thank you for the response. The concern is that each time a dashboard is accessed the user is constantly prompted to save it as a favorite. Is there a way to suppress that message?

yes - if you click on the dashboards drop down and select manage dashboards you can 'de-star' each dashboard so that only the dashboard at the top of the list appears
