Story link as Epic Link

I would like to create the same system of Epic link but for Story Link.

I created custom fields "Story Link" and "Story Name".

And I created a new linking type for link my stroy with its sub tasks.

All is ok But now I would automatize the linking action when I set the custom field "Story link".

I thought do it with workflow but now I understand this is impossible to create action when a field is edited.

Can you help me ?

You could use the Script Runner to create this link on a post function workflow. Or you could create your own add on and listen to events happening in JIRA.
