I am looking for Automation of Status update on Service Desk Ticket - When an associated Epic changes Status
Example: If Epic change status to Work Done corresponding Service Desk ticket should change status to Work done - With a Comments on comments section as - You ticket status has been changed to Work Done.
I am trying with Program Automation Add on as well as Automation Add on
In that case you could make a quick tweak to the above, and add a condition after the intial trigger, which has JQL that only looks for the Epic issue type.
Equally, to only look at service desk issues rather than all linked issues, you could change the "then transition" part, to again look at JQL and perhaps either base it on an issue type or project KEY.
