Starting subtask automatically starts parent task

Is there a way to automatically set a parent task to "in progress" in case of one subtask is set to this status?

In one of the last JIRA updates this connection was implemented while resolving/closing the last "open" subtask, so this would be a straight way of handling...

Its not possible in OnDemand. You will need a plugin even in downloaded version for this.
