Our team's sprint name is sometimes changing and it appears that somehow another team's sprint is intertwined with ours. Unsure how this is happening, but it would be great if someone who has experienced the same and knows a solution, can share, or point to the best resource to resolve. Would like to know how we can prevent it from happening.

Hello @AJ McCraw

The first question you need to answer is do you really have more than one sprint or do you have a single sprint being used by two teams?

Go to the View All Issues screen under the Filters menu. Search for all the issues in the affected sprint using the "sprint=" criteria. After the = start typing in the name of the sprint. Jira will show potential matches. Do you find two identically named sprints in the suggestions, or just one sprint?

Jira does not limit sprints to a single project or board. An issue can be added to any sprint in the instance by modifying the Sprint field of the issue directly.

The sprint will then display in any board where the board filter encompasses an issue that is in that sprint. In that way you may end up with a single sprint in multiple boards.
