Software license to a higher user tier

Hi,

Please tell me, if I upgrade my JIRA Software license to a higher user tier, and i have "tempo" plugin must I upgrade Jira to higher version ? Now I have v6.4.12 and must I buy new license or upgrade to higher user tier for tempo ? or I upgrade license to a higher user tier and that's it ? others plugin don't need upgrade license ?

Yes.  An add-on licence must match the number of users you have for the product.

JIRA 7 has made this a bit more complex, but also cheaper.  Imagine the case:

  • 5 Service Desk Agents
  • 100 Core users
  • 50 Software users

You have up to 155 users.  But the add-on only needs to be licenced for 100, not 200, as the rule is "the largest application" rather than "all potential users".
