Software / Service Desk / Confluence Integration?

Kevin Pham July 6, 2017

Hey everyone.... I've been trying to look for documentation but haven't found one that describes my needs just yet.

We got Confluence installed on a set of

- 2 IBM HTTP Servers

- 2 Application Servers

- 1 MySQL + 1  MySQL Replica (both running 5.6.36

- We also have Jira Software and Service Desk running as separate instances of Tomcats on another similar set of servers... but with MySQL 5.7.18

- The databases on Software/SD are separate schemas too.

The 3 applications are running on 3 separate URLs (using different FQDN names/certs).

What I'd like to do is integrate the 3 applications so that one single username can access all 3 applications.

Is there a way to integrate the 3 applications? If different installation methods needed, please advice.

Hi Kevin,

Take a look at the documentation on CROWD SSO and see if that works for you:

Manage users from multiple directories - Active Directory, LDAP, Crowd - via a single admin console and control application permissions from the same place.

Take a look at the following articles for further information:

Connecting to Crowd or JIRA for User Management

Integrating Crowd with Atlassian JIRA

Integrating Crowd with Atlassian Confluence

Cheers,
