We have a rather important problem with Service desk in Jira server instances, and we hope anyone can help us.
We currently have two SD projects, one large and a smaller one, but both have the same behavior.
When we create an issue, and make any transition, assignment or edition of any field, the waiting times are acceptable, about 3 seconds approximately, but only if the issue doesn't have any comment.
The problem appears when adding a comment, either internal, or external in the issue.
Things like assigning the issue to another person or do a simple transition, go from taking 3 seconds to 10 seconds and this increases as more comments the issue have.
To rule out that it was a problem with our automations or something like that, we have created a new project without anything, virgin, as the service desk creates it, and the same thing happens.
But this only happens in service desk projects, all other projects work quickly and correctly having comments or not.
Logs are not printing anything during those operations. CPU and memory metrics are normal and we reproduce the same behavior on two different Jira instances on two different machines.
We don't know what to do, we have investigated but we do not find anything about it.
Can you help us?
Thank you very much in advance
@Josep M. Cao Enable Profiling in JIRA using the guidance from the document below and then analyze the profile logs/traces to see what exactly is causing slow down for your particular JIRA request.
@Taranjeet Singh -Cprime- Hi! Thanks for reply.
We already did it but we don't know what is the problem.

@Josep M. Cao Without further analysis of your JIRA instance, I cannot provide much help on this topic here. So, I would suggest to raise a support ticket (https://support.atlassian.com) with Atlassian, providing them the Support.zip file of your JIRA instance, so that they can analyze in detail and provide you further suggestions.
We have same problem with slow perfomance Jira SD. Logs have many strings as
[1359ms] - AjaxIssueEditAction.execute()
[1703ms] - AjaxIssueAction.execute()
[39392ms] - CommentAssignIssue.execute()
These delays are present only when we working in the Service Desk.
We want understand why these delays happen.
Google don't have an exact answer. This is the only page where I saw a similar problem.
Please answer what may be the problem.
