Size of issue type field

Hi 

I can't see full name of my issues types when I must choose it during a ticket creation.

Is it possible to change the size of this field ?

I'm not aware of any documentation from Atlassian. Someone in the forums may have some. In general I don't support modifying source code because it can become a maintenance headache.
