Single Sign on setup for jira 6.1.6

Alok Agnihotri May 5, 2014

Hi,

We are using Delegated LDAP Authentication in our jira 6.1.6 application. We want to implement SSO functionality in the application so that a windows logged in user do not have to type password and the user will be directed to dashboard when he/she types the application url in the browser.

Please suggest how to implement "single sign on" in JIRA 6.1.6.

Thank you!

Hi Alok,

We know that there are other methods to implement SSO with Atlassian products, such as Kerberos and Spnego, and we have the information of some successful integrations, but please be aware that the only SSO solution supported by Atlassian is Crowd application.

In case you're interested to see some other SSO options, I would recommend that you take a look at this page that has information about how to work with custom authenticators.

Additionally, you may be interested in taking a look at the following articles that explain some methods of Integrated Windows Authentication:

I hope it helps.
