We are running JIRA, confluence on a linux platform. Part of the upgrade steps for JIRA was to shutdown JIRA.
What is the best way of doing this? I am seeing there is a shutdown.sh script. However, I was also told/informed of using "/usr/bin/service jirad stop"
Is one recommended over the other? Can I get some best practices for shutting down JIRA, Confluence within a linux environment when peforming an upgrade process?
Hi Mel, it looks like the "/usr/bin/service jirad stop" is a bash script as this one and it may work as well, but if you are in doubt you can safely use the shutdown.sh located into the bin folder into the location where JIRA was installed.
Cheers
