Hey there, Vivek.
As far as I am concerned, the standard Activity Stream has the timestamp feature that shows when the activity occured as shown in the documentation:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Adding+the+Activity+Stream+Gadget
Unless you are looking at customizing your own Activity Stream, the following documentation might offer some help:
https://developer.atlassian.com/display/STREAMS/Making+your+own+Activity+Streams+Provider
Hope this helps.
Warm regards,
Danial
Thanks Ahmad. I should have been clearer with my question. I was hoping to be able to see the timestamp in the collapsed view. I work with a distributed team and rely on the stream gadget to get a quick update on whether anyone has posted comments/questions etc. The expanded view definitely shows the timestamp but it reduces the number of items you can see without scrolling. We have Atlassian On Demand so customization options may not be as extensive.

Hey there, Vivek.
Sincey you mentioned that you are utilising the OnDemand service, it is true that customization is limited. As mentioned earlier on, you might want to consider developing your own Activity Stream gadget to cater for your requirement of viewing the timestamp in collapsed view.
