Show new issue after creation instead of old issue?

In Jira 5.0, if you create a new issue from the View issue screen, you're left viewing the old issue, with a pop-up message containing a link to the new issue. Is there a way to change this to work as it did pre 5.0 - i.e. take you straight to the new issue?

There is no direct way to do so, but you can choose to right click on the 'Create Issue' link, or use your mouse click using middle button instead. This will open a the create issue screen in a new tab instead of the lightbox.

On the other hand, another user seems to work around it by inserting a jQuery in a template file. See this comment thread.
