Lets share our experiences and lessons learned for User Management systems in JIRA and Confluence such as the ins and outs of the internal directory, as well as the common integration scenarios with external LDAP. Also, lets discuss some general considerations that administrators should keep in mind when growing the user base of their organisation.
Is anyone using Crowd/JIRA/Confluence and have customers/partners signing up on their own? Our employees login using the LDAP directory in Crowd. For customers/partners, we have to create crowd accounts in the Internal Directory. We would like for customers/partners to sign up for their own account, and then we can just approve or reject.
