No. Service Desk is for the tracking of requests.
You could, however, hook it up to Confluence, so you can use Confluence as a Knowledge Base, and there's nothing to stop you have pages in Confluence serve up file downloads. Still wouldn't be "private", as customers are not users you can control that way.
Thanks Nic. We already have SD linked to confluence. However, the confluence space will be public and available for all users, but I wanted to explore options around displaying some 'Private' docs to ServiceDesk customers.
