Setting up Jira 7 using SSl

Kevin Harnden November 9, 2015

I recently setup a new JIRA 7 server and am able to access it using http;//localhost:8080

When attempting to set it up using SSL, I get a non-trusted certificate error. We already have an existing JIRA server with a trusted Certificate. I am using the same certificate from the old server.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Kevin,

Have you followed this guide? https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/running-jira-over-ssl-or-https-124008.html

Remember, you need any Intermediary and Root CA's in the JKS file (unless you're running a self-signed)

If you're getting a non-trusted error, have you checked to ensure that you're using the common name? (e.g. jira.domain.com)

Thanks,

Jared.
