Service Desk Annual Subscription/Upgrade

I need to go from 3 to 5 Jira Service Desk users and  would like to pay one annual fee.  Do I need confluence license to use the Knowledge base feature in Service Desk?   What would the EDU/University rate be for a year.

  2. On Cloud and without other add-ins, Confluence is the only tool available for connecting a KB
  3. Contact sales to get detailed discount pricing, but it does exist for Qualified Academic Institutions
