Sending custom emails to users in JIRA - how to?

Rumceisz July 13, 2015

Hi Everyone,

we run into cases regularly when we need to send out emails to users of our JIRA to notify that their password has been changed or they have been assigned to a project or so.

We have more than 5000+ customer users and many of them log in to JIRA very rarely. Some of them forget their username or they even are not aware that they have user account.

Is there a solution with we can send out these emails for many users at once?

For example by Jelly or Groovy? We'd put the text in an excel and next to it the code and a macro would create a full script.

There is a big demand for such a feature.

Can you please suggest?

Thanks in advance,
Rumi

Or you can go with JJUPIN. Don't want to brag, but you can automate your mundane tasks with it. Read the reviews here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.keplerrominfo.jira.plugins.jjupin

Admin -> Options & settings -> Send email

If you choose the jira-users group you're done, assuming you use Jira-users group to mean "people who can log into our Jira".
