Send reply email to sender

We have setup JIRA so that all emails sent to a particular email address creates an issue within one of our projects.

What I can't seem to find is a way for JIRA to reply to that sender informing them that the issue has been created and what the issue number is.

Is this possible?

Hi @Stephan Grieger,

First you need to set the notification scheme to send a notification to the reporter on the issuecreated event.

Then you need to make sure that you set "notify me" next to "my changes" in your profile preferences.
