In our current PM software, we have the ability to have a Project Code generated that adheres to the following rules:
99 - Year project created - For example, all project this year start with 19, last year with 18
EN/IN - EN indicates project for an external Customer and IN indicates a project for an Internal project
9999 - Sequential counter indicating the count of projects. Resets at beginning of year
A sample project number would be....
19EN0203 => Implies the project was created in 2019 for an external Customer and it is the 203rd project this year
I need a mechanism to emulate this functionality in Jira but do not see any plug-ins that offer this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
