Does anyone know how you can run a Jira type of report to show all children of an epic grouped under it? I’ve seen this done and it was’t a standard report or JQL, think it may have been a plug-in ...?
A feature of the report also allowed selective inclusion / exclusion of selected items under the epic, such as task. As I recall it also indented the lower level ticket below the epic, and could sum things like original estimate fields.
Yes it can be done using plugins like JQL Search Extensions for Jira & reports plugin.
It have rich built in advanced queries. In your case you can use following queries based on your requirements.
Find issues and subtasks of epic "SEARCH-12"
issue in allIssuesInEpic(SEARCH-
12
)
Find all user stories under epics, you can edit the query to include or exclude the issue types based on requirements, like you can add bugs or sub tasks.
issue in allIssuesInEpic(SEARCH-
12
) and issuetype=story
Hi @Robert
There are a lot of plugins - hard to state which one it might have been to do this.
A lot of what you mention though is possible in Jira Portfolio - not just a reporting tool but might be worth checking out?
