Search for issues that stay in a state for a certain time

Hi, I'm searching for a JQL that returns me all issues that were in a Certain state os in between two states.

Let say I have a simple workflow New->Open->In Progress.

Now I want all Issues that were less than 1 day in between New and In Progress.

How can I get them?
