ScriptRunner v4.3.0 Inline Testing Problems

Jeff Peters May 10, 2016

Greetings!

We have a development instance that was using JIRA 6.3.15 with ScriptRunner 4.3.0 and had no problems embedding ScriptRunner scripts inline or on a server and executing them.

As we prepare for our annual upgrade, we added JIRA 7.1.4 with ScriptRunner 4.3.0 to that instance and are having problems executing inline scripts per the attached files.  The first being a screen error message when trying to preview the script and the second one from the error log.

Please advise us how to proceed.

Also, do you have plans to upgrade this site to a JIRA Service Desk format in the future?

Thanks again for your services.

We have a product support portal here where you can raise an issue directly with us: https://productsupport.adaptavist.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/2

But if its a how-to or coding question we prefer you to ask on here so other people can view the solution.

Theres some useful documentation here about upgrading to JIRA 7 for ScriptRunner: https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/releases/UpgradingToJira7.html

I can't find any reference to ScriptRunner in that log file you have attached, when does it produce that error log? Do you know what ScriptRunner functionality is producing it, it looks like an event listener or post-function? Do you have the script for those?
