I've created the workflow in one project and I would like to use it as the template for all our other projects.
However, I can not seem to name the workflow to refer to it. So, without a name, it seems the workflow can not be copied to other projects.
Hi Pat, you can create the new projects with a shared configuration that would include other schemes.
If you need only workflows, you don't need to create a copy. You can associate the same workflow scheme to multiple projects following the steps below
Please let me know if that helped,
Cheers,
Melo
Somehow, although I am an administrator for our instance of JIRA, I do not see some of the options described in the documentation.
Also the instructions for adding our workflow to the marketplace are more onerous than the type of simple sharing or copying I had in mind. So, I will end up just reconstructing the Workflow pattern manually from project to project.
Using the option to export the workflow to a local disk file works fine. But, there is no option to "Select Import > Import Workflow." to bring the local workflow (.jwb) back into the JIRA project.
However, there is an option the "Add Workflow" which did allow me to select the workflow I wanted to add to the target project. Unfortunately, the target project workflow did not seem to change.
Oh well, constructing a workflow is a simple process.
Cheers, and thanks,
Pat

Hi Pat,
Yes, perhaps you're suing Team-manged projects.
If you're using a Company-managed project, you can go to Project Settings>Workflow>Switch Scheme or Add Workflow>Existing Workflow.
