SSO solution on JIRA cloud

As we are moving from JIRA server to JIRA cloud. We have two type of users. 

1. Internal user (our employees)

2/ External users(Our customers)

We use mini orange SSO plugin for internal user and ping federate solution for external users. 

my question is If we move to cloud would all users be getting a single SSO solution?

I work with miniOrange and I'm one of the developers who created the SSO solution deployed on your Jira server.

To answer your question, you can use SSO for internal users on Jira cloud using Atlassian Access, but for external users/customers, SSO can't be used as Atlassian access doesn't support users outside your organization domain.

Thanks Ankit, but we do have customers from different domains and SSO works for them using ping federate however if we move to cloud how will they access it? Isn't there any SSO solution for all users at Atlassian irrespective of domain like azure or Microsoft does?

Yes, it's working right now on Server since you're using a 3rd party app which allows SSO for service management agents as well as customer even when the customers are not counted against your license.

But in cloud, since your customers are not counted against your user tier, SSO can't be used for them using Atlassian access as Atlassian access is only available for your organization users. This means it'll work fine for service management agents but not for customers.

this would be disappointing to our users. can they access it through username/password?

Yes, they can sign up on your service management portal and access it using username and password.
