Running JIRA over SSL

Hi, I am trying to run JIRA 4.4.5 over HTTPS. I have carefully followed the steps given but when I am typing "http://localhost:8080/jira" on my browser, I am directed to https://localhost:8443/jira/ it says that :This webpage is not available.

Any idea where I went wrong?

Cheers!
