Roadmap does not sort according to planned release date

Mark A May 9, 2012

We created a number of difference versions with the hope that they would become our roadmap items with dates, issues, etc.

However, the Road Map listing is not sorted by date and we are not sure how to change it despite searching the JIRA docs and using google. In fact, we are not sure how it is sorting at all (created date?). Please see the attached screenshots for details.

They are sortable in the Admin UI. Older versions of JIRA (not your versions in the roadmap) would have Top | Up | Down | Bottom buttons to move your versions up and down the list. Newer JIRA versions you just drag them around, when you hover the mouse over the left hand side.

Or did you mean Issues within the roadmap? I think they're priority DESC, but after that not sure.

So has anyone answerd this properly? Seem you can drag n drop the order of the version in the administration section of the project, but when you go to the overview section, it is not sorted in that order - seems to be in the order entered - ie card order.

Anyone have a solution?
