Reverse a custom field setting

Hi,

I had a user request a field (Due Date) be mandatory to one of my colleagues who is out this week. Now this same requestor is asking to make this field not-mandatory.

Where do I start?

I figured out that there was a transition with a validator (required field). I removed this validator and it should be ok now. Thanks!

thanks for your prompt response. I don't think I asked the question wholey. There is a custom field (due date) that is mandatory only when marking it 'In Progress'. How do I search for this option and reverse it?
