Restrict linking issues from other Projects

BK January 25, 2018

I am assigned to 5 Projects, say Project1, Project2, Project3, Project4 and Project5.

I create a new issue in Project1, and as it is related to similar issue in same Project; I want to link it with Issue300 in same Project1. However, when I start typing Issue300, Jira starts showing Issue300 from other Projects (say Project2, Project3 and Project5) too.

In our organization, Projects are organized in such a way that Issues in any Project are of no importance to any other Project.

So, I am looking for a solution where I can permanently restrict Issues from other Projects.

Appreciate if anyone have any solution for my problem.

While typing in the link field, Jira makes auto suggestions based on what the current user is allowed to see of the whole Jira installation. You cannot change this, because it's the philosophy of Atlassian. You can only raise a suggestion.
