Restrict Issue Types For Public Issues

Background

We have ondemand JIRA that we use to manage different products of ours under different JIRA project. We've recently had a requirement on one of the products to allow it's users to open issues through JIRA. We've configured the security and roles to allow for that.

Problem

We have different issues types that are available to our JIRA users. But for public we want to restrict them to be able to open only two types of issues (bugs, enhancements). Besides this we may also want to hide some fields from them. We explored the field security plugin as well but it doesn't work with ondemand version.

Hi Adbul,

Restrict issue typer per user isn't a feature offered by Atlassian Cloud. As per verified on Restricting issue creation of certain types based on user project role / group, all available workarounds are only applicable for JIRA Server.
