Reset sprint info

When we had Jira on-premise I could remove completed sprint info from tickets using the bulk edit operation. I did this by checking the 'Sprint' checkbox and not filling in any sprint info. After the bulk edit the - historic - sprint info from the ticket was removed. I need to remove this for a certain reason.

Now we use Jira in the cloud and this functionality does no longer work. The closed sprint info is no longer removed and I cannot find a way to remove this.

Is this a bug in the cloud version? Is there a workaround?
