Required custom field view ocnfiguration

Hi All

I have added a default field to my issues and have set it to required.

I have also set the specific screens i wanted to view this field in and make the user update this field during hte workflow.

But now i want also to view this field on the default issue screen (whenever i click the link from teh search for example) but i dont want this field to be required while i create a new issue.

Somehow it seems to be related to each other and whenever i add this field to the deafult view i get it in the create as well

Any help would gratfully appriciated

Instead of making it as a required field using field configurations, you can make it required in the workflow transition using workflow conditions. There is a workflow condition in JIRA Suite Utilities plugin that can be used.

Once you do that, the field can be added into the default screen or your create screen. Would that work?
