Hallo community,

I am wondering if Epic burndown chart and Release burndown chart is only available for company-based project. If yes, is the only option for me is to migrate my current team-based jira project into a company-based project? As I'd like a longer timeline for my report in which each sprint is a column to show the progress across each Epic and Release. Thanks in advance for your help and answer!

Warmly,

Su

Hi @Bulingzi, Su (KW-BER, DEBE),

Take also a look over our Great Gadgets app. It offers all the gadgets you need for creating Epic Burndown, Release Burndown and many other agile charts. It works with any type of Jira projects, without being necessary to migrate data.

See these articles on how to use these gadgets:

Hope this helps. You could start with 1-month of free trial. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@stonikbyte.com.

hii @Bill Sheboy @Rohan  thanks a lot for your answer! I am also checking if there is any downside if I migrate the project from team-managed to company-managed. I read the related article but would still like to have your thought on it.

Hi @Bulingzi, Su (KW-BER, DEBE) -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Those other reports are not available for team-managed projects, and there are several open suggestions to add them.  Please watch / vote for these to see any progress on them:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17787
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17914
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-18610
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-20651

The alternatives are to move to a company-managed project, investigate marketplace addons for additional reporting, or export issue data to perform reporting outside of Jira.

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi Su,

In Team-Managed project, there are only a few reports available compared to the Company-Managed projects.

For now the Epic or Release burndown report are not available. Available reports are :

  • burnup report
  • cumulative flow diagram
  • velocity report
  • sprint burndown chart

The following Atlassian documentation is available : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/enable-reports

In this case, I would suggest you to move from Team to company managed project. Hope this is helpful
