We are using the flagging an issue feature to mark issues as being blocked in JIRA Software Server v7.4.3. We would like to provide reporting on the duration an issue was flagged. Is there a way to do this?

The quick answer is "not out of the box", monitoring a specific field update is pretty hard with no development or plugin. That being said, the database stores all changes in issues so you can retrieve (via the REST API or direct database) that history and report on it using EazyBI for instance.

That's what my expectation was. Our reporting needs are growing so looking at reporting add-ons is probably a best option.

EazyBI is not that simple to step in but is very powerful and greatly supported. Would definitely recommend you to try it out :)

indeed, using the eazyBI Jira addon, you can analyze data based on different Jira custom fields, including Flagged issues (also, to calculate duration how long issue was flagged using custom calculations in eazyBI).
