Release Burndown Chart with Trendlines

Bartlomiej Kacicki July 7, 2014

Hey,

I've got a question concerning functionality brought here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AGILE/Labs+-+Viewing+the+Release+Burndown

Guys, I've been looking for a solution for a while now - a report that shows an estimation (with trend lines) for a release. To visualize - I need to get chart that would look like that: http://www.mountaingoatsoftware.com/agile/scrum/release-burndown/alternative

We have massive projects with a lot of unestimated issues in backlog. As the client changes priorities and usual re-estimating of backlog takes place, I would greatly appreciate trend lines. One for the „rate of change to the scope of the project” and second one for „initially planned” work.

Of course, the genuine purpose is to find most probable time to release (in sprints, preferably).

For example Collab.nethas a tool that generates reports like that: http://www.danube.com/docs/scrumworks/pro/latest/reports.html#releaseforecast

And, generally, that’s what I am looking for in JIRA right now.

Many thanks (smile)

Bartek

Hi @Bartlomiej Kacicki  and @Vojtech Boril ,

You can have a Release Burndown with Trendline by using our Great Gadgets add-on (available for both Jira Server and Jira Cloud).

It offers a "Release Burndown Burnup" dashboard gadget that is based on a filter. You can also specify the start/end date of your release. It displays the forecast and predicts project ETA based on your team velocity.

More details about how to configure it can be found in the add-ons documentation: https://bitbucket.org/StonikByte/great-gadgets-add-on/wiki/Home#!release-burnup-burndown-chart

@Bartlomiej Kacicki Hey Bart, have you already solved the problem with a release report showing trendlines? I would appreciate a release burndown chart with trendlines as well!

Thanks for any information!

Vojtech
