Redirect for JIRA/Confluence for ondemand sites

inspiratoadam December 27, 2013

My company is merging with another company that also uses ondemand JIRA/Confluence and we would like to have any links to their site now redirect to our site. Is it possible to add a redirect for ondemand sites? For example, site1.atlassian.net-> site2.atlassian.net.

Looks like this is not possible through the current structure. We will just have to deal with broken links.

I suspect Atlassian won't do this - see https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/111522/possibility-of-creating-redirection-when-we-switch-to-on-prem-jira

However, you could easily take the old Jira, make it read only and place a big banner across the top saying "You need to use this other Jira instead"

Thanks. I noticed that thread but since it pertained to moving from hosted to on premise, I thought there may be a chance that moving from one hosted to another hosted may be possible.

You should probably reach out to Atlassian support for this.
