Recover from failed import

Dan Fabulich November 2, 2012

I was running the Bugzilla importer and it lost connectivity with MySQL. My fault.

The problem is that now my JIRA is full of half-imported junk. The log says:

Unexpected failure occurred. Importer will stop immediately. Data maybe in an unstable state

What do I do now? How do I clean up this failed import so I can try again?

If you cannot just start over (ie uninstall and delete the database), I would try using the database integrity checker. I would then see what issues got loaded and remove those from the CSV file. Then start loading again.
