I've noticed that our users sometimes get multiple emails when a person updates an issue.
One example: when a user advances a ticket to the next status, they're provided a screen to log their time. If they log time, anyone watching the issue gets two emails:
Is there any way an admin can combine these two notifications into a single email to avoid spamming anyone watching the issue?
I'm sorry to say that there isn't currently a way of combining JIRA emails into a single digest email as you are suggesting, but it is possible to reduce the number of notifications being sent by the application by editing the notification scheme as one possible solution: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Creating+a+Notification+Scheme
