Random automatic changes in tickets

We have the problem that various information in the ticket is frequently changed at random. For example: the assigned person is changed, the ticket is moved to other columns or an older version of the description is displayed.

The search history shows that the assigned person has made changes, which is incorrect.

Do you have similar problems or an idea what this could be related to?

Hi @eugen_raschow ,

If I were you I would investigate what automations are running in your project.

Look at the automation panel of an example issue

Adding to this...

When you open the Automation panel you will need to click the Refresh button within it to get an updated list of automation rules that affected the issue.

Thank you for your quick respond!! I'm already familiar with this tool and also used it for our problem and there seems to be no link between the problem and our automation rules

Besides Automation Rules there are a variety of possible causes:

- Other third party apps on your instance that may be changing issues based on other triggers. Looking in the issue history are there any other changes that are happening directly before the "random" changes?

- integration with another system where changes are made and that results in an API call to update information in Jira,

- workflow post-functions

Given that you are using a paid subscription, you may want to have your Jira Administrators create a support case directly with Atlassian Support after one of these random changes. The support may be able to trace the activity in more detail with their access to system logs.
