Querying Tempo planned time with JQL? Will Groovy solve?

Matt Ransford April 24, 2014

It's been a year since this question was asked, so I'm asking again:

https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/174589/is-it-possible-to-query-jira-issues-with-planned-time-in-tempo

Is it possible to query the value for time planned on an issue through the Tempo Timesheets add-on using JQL? Can it be scripted with Groovy Script Runner or is that data just not available to JQL queries?

At this point we want simply to see in query results whether time has been planned against an issue or not; how much time and by whom would be even better but just seeing that an issue has been planned will work.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Matt,

this problem still exists and the Issue mentioned in the thread (https://tempoplugin.jira.com/browse/TP-7) is not resolved.

In Tempo Timesheets 7.9. , an extra tab showing the time planned by user and issue will be available in the Excel export.

Kind regards,

Susanne

@Susanne Götz [T1, I cannot access the thread you mention. Has this issue being solved? Is there any way to see the planned time for an issue without looking for it in the timesheets?

Thanks,

Luis

Hi @[deleted],

The planned time can be viewed in the Issue view in the Cloud version, but it has not yet been implemented on Server.

I do not yet have a fix version / date when this will be available, but it will go hand in hand with the changes on the Issue view that is upcoming for the JIRA Server version (https://developer.atlassian.com/blog/2018/03/coming-soon-updated-look-and-feel-jira-server/).

Regards,
Susanne
